Today, it was a thrill to stay there … now 45 years later … made better by the welcome and comfort provided by Nicki … and she was always there in case of a problem.Kick back, with a sweeping view from Gribben Head to Black Head [the remnants of a very volcano] … with, if you look hard, the spire of Charlestown church in the middle [the church foundation stone was laid on 27 November 1849, the spire added on17 December 1971].A beautiful place to relax, catch up, explore and discover what is truly Cornwall. It was beautifully clean and modern. The bathrooms were wonderful and worked for all of us, especially the big bath for my toddler. It was a great base to explore places all around Cornwall and we always felt safe and happy to go home. But before going out my favourite thing to do was to have a coffee looking out at the view. Nicki was a fantastic host. Informative and friendly and thought of everything, even leaving us deck chairs for our beach days.
